Starting the StreamWorks Player

As with most applications, you can start the StreamWorks Player in a number of ways:

SWPly200.gif PC/Windows - run the swplayer.exe program using standard Windows techniques, e.g., from the Windows95 Start menu, choose the StreamWorks Player entry from the StreamWorks sub menu.

SWPly200.gif Macintosh - Open the StreamWorks Player program, e.g., by double-clicking on the "StreamWorks Player" icon.

SWPly200.gif UNIX/Xwindows - start the swplayer executable from an Xterminal, e.g.: if the executable resides in your home directory, issue the command "~/swplayer".

NOTE: When the StreamWorks Player is registered as a WEB Browser Helper Application, it is automatically started any time you click on a Hypertext reference to a file with the ".xdm" filename extension.
